2 Weeks Old

Sorry that it has taken me this long to update our blog. I have been a bit preoccupied. Here is the scoop on being a new mom and dad for 2 weeks now.
We have noticed that Addison loves to snuggle, and we both really enjoy holding and cuddling with her. Daddy loves to hold her while he plays video games., and while mommy sleeps.
She has been sleeping pretty good through the night. She has been sleeping for about 4-5 hours and then she just wants to eat and she goes back to sleep. Addison hates to have her clothes off ( we hope that lasts until she is 50), she just screams and screams. Speaking of screams, she definitely got her mommas vocals....

Addison has 2 wonderful siblings that have been so great with her. Both Sadie and Beemer, our dogs, help protect her and tell us when she needs something. They are both very gentle with her and love her already!

Both Larry and I have really adapted well and we have really bonded even more then we thought. We already had an amazing relationship but this has definitely strengthened it.

We wanted to make sure that we thanked our family for being there for us. Both my parents, sister, bro (Bryan) and Larry's parents have been so helpful. They have cooked meals, cleaned, or just spent time with us and Addison, and we really appreciate it. WE LOVE YOU ALL
Not only do we have the best family but we have amazing friends. Thank you everyone that has sent gifts, visited, or cooked meals. We really appreciate it!!!!

Well here are some pictures that I wanted to post to show everyone how she is doing at home.

Addison Nicole Barnett

She is here! After 20 hours of labor and 20 minutes of pushing, she is here. It was such an amazing experience and I obviously couldn't help but just let loose and cry. She came into this world on 1-11-11 in delivery room # 11 at 9:46am. It was a snowy day that was so beautiful, even better then the icy day that we got married.
I am making this a short post, but we are home now and adapting well. Follow us soon to see how real life is treating us.

HERE SHE IS!!!

3 CM and more

Well this visit was quite productive. It first started out with the news that my blood pressure was high again, which made me really nervous. Last week it was elevated but they weren't concerned but today it was higher than that. So the entire visit I wasn't really paying attention because I was concerned with my BP. Addison's heart rate was in the 140's, which was excellent and has been the entire pregnancy.

So she did my pelvic exam and well lets just say it hurt. It took my breath away and I didn't even hear her say that I was 3 cm and 70% effaced. I had to ask her what she just said.
So I waited in the office a bit longer and they re-checked my BP and it went down a bit so I was able to go home. I will be going back on Monday, if I don't have a baby before then. The doctor loosened things up down there and she wouldn't be surprised if Miss Addison comes this weekend. I am ready..

Thanks everyone for the support. Both Larry and I are so lucky to have such great friends and family there by our side. We will keep everyone posted and hopefully we have some exciting news to share soon..
LOVE YOU ALL

Less than 10 Days

I am so anxious that we could have Baby Addison any day now. I am definitely ready and of course scared a bit. I have done all the nesting that I think that I am going to do, I have stocked up the cabinets and fridge, and I have washed everything that needs washing.
I will be going to the doctor tomorrow to see what 1 week out will bring. I am hoping that we can schedule a date to be induced, but don't worry it will not be until at least 1 week after the due date. Larry and I are still hoping that my water will break and that we will have plenty of time to get to the hospital. I am nervous about real labor contractions too, I don't want them to hurt... Ha Ha
I have decided to post a few pictures this week. I wanted to be able to compare my growing belly to weeks prior.
