1st Day Back to Work

On Wednesday, both Larry and I had a meeting to attend, and neither one of our parents were able to watch Addison. So we took Addison to her favorite babysitter, Kara. I had a 2 page letter written to Kara about everything and I also drew a diagram showing how to swaddle. Let's just say I was prepared.

We began the day getting up at 5:30 A.M. for a 8:30 meeting. We told Kara that we would be there by 7:15, and we were late. I have learned that being on-time is no longer possible, even if you plan on running into to some bumps in the road. Anyways, I had always made fun of those mothers that told me how emotional it was to leave their child for the 1st time. Well that was me.. I was so upset that I just dropped her off, handed the paper to Kara, and said goodbye with tears running out of my eyes. I couldn't stop crying for like an hour. Kara was wonderful.. She kept sending me pictures all day with Addison sleeping so peacefully or lying on her lap. Thankfully Addison was wonderful and so was Kara.
I am so glad that day is over with.

She is McFamous

When my Dad worked for the Southern Indiana McDonald's, the owner of those restaurants decorated one of his Playplaces with the names of his Grandchildren. Tiffany and I were always jealous and wanted our names proudly displayed. Well we never got our wish, but my Dad wanted to have something displaying off his grandchildren. So we got Addison's picture taken with Ronald's shoe and hung the pictures at Lower Brownsboro McDonald's. Larry works at this McDonald's so on a daily basis he can show off his girl.

Celebrating our 3rd Anniversary

Tuesday Feb. 22nd we celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. Larry and I left Addison with my mom and we went to dinner. We decided to try out Rivue at the top of the Galt House. We sat on the rotating dining room so we would get the full effect and see everything. The view from the 25th floor is amazing and the food was as well. They bring around a complimentary candy cart with homemade candy on it. Well we thought that it was nice, but they better do something for a $120 dinner.
None the less, we had a special night with great company!!

Of course we LOVE to sit and stare at Addison.. DUH!! Well today when I was talking to her she starting laughing at me and smiling as big as she could. It was such a great moment because she just waited for me to say something and she would just laugh.. Being a Mom is so amazing!!!

Not Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Sarah has been such a special person in our lives for many years now and I wanted to make a special post about her.
I have been watching Sarah and Trent, her bother, for about 8 years now and we have mad many memories. Sarah made friends with Larry immediately and now calls him "Junior". It is so very cute...She and Trent were both in our wedding, and Tracy and Sarah threw us our Bridal and Baby showers. Recently Sarah has taken up cheerleading and she has been doing an amazing job.
2 weekends ago Larry, Addison, and I went to see Sarah perform and guess what??? They got 1st!!

Addison Meets her new Babysitter!!!

When I was a child Tiffany and I had a babysitter that we just loved. We would always have the best time with her and to this day we still talk about her. When I was thinking of someone that I could trust to watch Addison, Kara came to mind. Our family met Kara at McDonald's ( go figure) many many years ago. My Dad was actually working at the Southern Indiana stores, which can give you an idea of how long ago it was... Thankfully Kara was so excited to let Addison come to her house and keep her safe while we went to work.
Monday we went to introduce Addison to Kara and to the 2 other kiddos that she watches.
Kara and her family got Addison the cutest outfit and hair bow and I wanted to post some of the pictures of the outfit. Thank you Kara and we can't wait until you get to see Addison again.

Addison is 4 Weeks Old

Well we made it through another week. We seem to be getting into a routine and sleeping is getting better and longer. I don't really have a lot to report unless everyone wants to hear about how yucky her poop is or how much she eats....Normal baby stuff..

Addison threw up and we didn't realize it. Larry was burping her and when he took her down to begin feeding her again she looked like this!

3 weeks old

Well another week has gone by and I am so proud to report that we are all doing amazing.....Addison has had some first this past week.
Addison met Lexus (Larry's parents dog) and had dinner at their house, she went to the mall with Grammy, Aunt Tiffany, Mackenzie, and Mommy, she went on her first walk with the dogs, and then went to Grammy and P's house and met Wheatley and had dinner at their house. She slept the entire time on all of the trips, but it was still her first all of the same.
Tonight we decided to use her bath tub and give her a bath before bed. She loves the water and was enjoying the warm water. Here are some adorable pictures of her in her tub and then after in her towel.

I completely forgot to mention that she slept her first 8 hours last Saturday. I felt like something was wrong and I told Larry to go check on her because I was afraid to see her not breathing or something... But I was wrong and she was just so tired..I wish that she would do that every day..
