38 Week Visit and Update!!!

Well no change!!! 1 cm and not 100% effaced. But I am feeling like this needs to come to an end. I am getting more uncomfortable and I am out of breath all of the time. Even putting on shoes makes me break out into a sweat and I can't breath. I am sure being a spectator while I attempt stuff like this is quite hilarious.

I officially have bags packed and everything done! We are just waiting on the guest of honor, Addison.
Here I am in all of my glory. Hopefully I will have a different kind of post next week.

Little side note to Addison: Tomorrow is the U of L vs. UK game. It would not be a good time to come. Some of mommy and daddy's great friends are taking us to the game and they have a suite, where I can stretch out!!! So hold off until at least the game is over....

What a Christmas!!!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas, because we definitely did. I get a bit emotional thinking that this was our last Christmas without our little miracle.  I am a bit nervous thinking that every day could be the big day.
Anyways, both Larry and I got so many nice things and we are both so thankful to have such wonderful families who put so much thought into our gifts. I just love waking up on Christmas day and seeing the smiles on everyone face when we open presents. We gave my mom a pair of Uggs and she was shocked! I love doing that!!! We also got Larry's dad a custom made suit and he loved it. I know that we gave and received a lot of great gifts but I just love watching people open presents and those were my favorites.

Merry belated Christmas!

There is something going on down there!!!

Larry and I went to see the doctor today. I did not get my hopes up with any progression because I didn't think that I had even had any contractions. Well I was wrong. I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced  (thinned out). I was having a contraction while I was in the office and I had no idea. The doctor is who told me that I was having one. I know that will change as labor progresses.
Addison is still head down which is a good news. The doctor still thinks that I have another 3 weeks but she could always be wrong. My mom's doctor told her she had a few weeks and she delivered the next day. So I hope this runs in the family. Larry has made it very clear that he really wants her to come in January, and now I am thinking that he may have jinked us.So please pray for sooner than later.
On another note, I will be delivering at Norton's Suburban on Dutchman's Lane in Louisville. There is a nice waiting room on the 2nd floor for all of our friends and family. Go up the golden elevators. I plan on making a phone tree or mass text so everyone knows when we are heading to the hospital.
I did pack a bag tonight and now I just need to decide what Addison will be wearing home. We are ready for her... ANYTIME!!!

I will be going back to the doctor next Wednesday. Maybe she will be here by then! I will keep everyone posted.

36 + Week Update

This week has been like any other week. I haven't had much change. Addison is head down, but I have still yet to have any contractions and as of last week I wasn't dilated any. I will be going back to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully something has changed.
I have been doing some nesting this week. I cleaned out the hall closet, then headed to the kitchen cabinets, then I did a TON of laundry.. All in like 4 hours, and I am still not done, but I had to stop to watch the U of L Bowl game.
I will make another posting as soon as I get home tomorrow from the doctors with an update.

Video to Addison- Tour of her Room

I wanted to make sure that Addison got a good look at her room before we brought her home, so I decided to make a video so she will never forget. I also wanted to make sure that I shared it with everyone. We are so excited and I just cry every time that I think about having a baby soon. I think about if she will be a good baby, and love to sleep!!! (I sure hope so... ) I think about who she will look like, and if she will be a momma or daddy's girl. I wonderful if she will ever really know how much she is loved!!!
I just can't believe how much I love her already. I know things will just get worse when I actually have her in my arms.
Anyways, to make this long story short, I can't wait.
We hope you enjoy her room and we look forward to having her in there soon!!

Daddy's Big Diaper Shower

Today Larry had a diaper party to celebrate his soon to be Daddy status. Hooters helps get this whole party organized and they supplied wings( not usually) and invites, and our wonderful friends and family bring diapers. This was a guys only event and the Hooter girls seemed to take care of him. We scheduled it around a U of L game so the guys had other things to entertain them other than Hooters!!!!!!
Thanks everyone for celebrating with Larry, and for the diapers.

I know this picture isn't the best, but Larry was wearing a dirty diaper!!! Ha Ha

Getting it all together!

Well it is now 35 weeks and just 2 more weeks and Miss Addison will be considered full term. I have sorta been running around thinking that I have so much more to do, and that I still need the important necessities(which I don't). I still need to get some of the things put away, but I am stuck on where to put them. I knew babies needed a lot of things but I didn't realize HOW MUCH stuff a little baby needs. I will be posting the completed room soon, once I get things clean.
This week I thought that I got my 1st belly stretch marks. I almost started crying and I called Larry in to check me out and he really thought that something was wrong. I now realize that those were just scratch marks and not stretch marks. Thank Goodness!!! I have been a bit more tired and a little more emotional. I cried watching The Biggest Loser the other night. I have also noticed that I have been even more blunt now then I was prior to this pregnancy. So if you need someone to tell you the truth, you better ask me. I can't hold the truth in!!! I know people at work are getting really annoyed because I am just telling them bluntly what I think and that isn't always good to hear. They have kinda stopped talking to me and asking me questions... Which maybe I should allow this change to stay around after the baby... Just Kidding!!!

Anyways I am feeling great still and I really love feeling Addison kick and move around. It is so comforting having her so active.. I will be going back to the Doctor on Tuesday and we will see how things are going. Hopefully she will be head down and on her way out soon. I will keep everyone posted!
