Well no change!!! 1 cm and not 100% effaced. But I am feeling like this needs to come to an end. I am getting more uncomfortable and I am out of breath all of the time. Even putting on shoes makes me break out into a sweat and I can't breath. I am sure being a spectator while I attempt stuff like this is quite hilarious.
I officially have bags packed and everything done! We are just waiting on the guest of honor, Addison.
Here I am in all of my glory. Hopefully I will have a different kind of post next week.
Little side note to Addison: Tomorrow is the U of L vs. UK game. It would not be a good time to come. Some of mommy and daddy's great friends are taking us to the game and they have a suite, where I can stretch out!!! So hold off until at least the game is over....

What a Christmas!!!
We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas, because we definitely did. I get a bit emotional thinking that this was our last Christmas without our little miracle. I am a bit nervous thinking that every day could be the big day.
Anyways, both Larry and I got so many nice things and we are both so thankful to have such wonderful families who put so much thought into our gifts. I just love waking up on Christmas day and seeing the smiles on everyone face when we open presents. We gave my mom a pair of Uggs and she was shocked! I love doing that!!! We also got Larry's dad a custom made suit and he loved it. I know that we gave and received a lot of great gifts but I just love watching people open presents and those were my favorites.
Merry belated Christmas!

There is something going on down there!!!
Larry and I went to see the doctor today. I did not get my hopes up with any progression because I didn't think that I had even had any contractions. Well I was wrong. I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced (thinned out). I was having a contraction while I was in the office and I had no idea. The doctor is who told me that I was having one. I know that will change as labor progresses.
Addison is still head down which is a good news. The doctor still thinks that I have another 3 weeks but she could always be wrong. My mom's doctor told her she had a few weeks and she delivered the next day. So I hope this runs in the family. Larry has made it very clear that he really wants her to come in January, and now I am thinking that he may have jinked us.So please pray for sooner than later.
On another note, I will be delivering at Norton's Suburban on Dutchman's Lane in Louisville. There is a nice waiting room on the 2nd floor for all of our friends and family. Go up the golden elevators. I plan on making a phone tree or mass text so everyone knows when we are heading to the hospital.
I did pack a bag tonight and now I just need to decide what Addison will be wearing home. We are ready for her... ANYTIME!!!
I will be going back to the doctor next Wednesday. Maybe she will be here by then! I will keep everyone posted.

36 + Week Update
This week has been like any other week. I haven't had much change. Addison is head down, but I have still yet to have any contractions and as of last week I wasn't dilated any. I will be going back to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully something has changed.
I have been doing some nesting this week. I cleaned out the hall closet, then headed to the kitchen cabinets, then I did a TON of laundry.. All in like 4 hours, and I am still not done, but I had to stop to watch the U of L Bowl game.
I will make another posting as soon as I get home tomorrow from the doctors with an update.

Video to Addison- Tour of her Room
I wanted to make sure that Addison got a good look at her room before we brought her home, so I decided to make a video so she will never forget. I also wanted to make sure that I shared it with everyone. We are so excited and I just cry every time that I think about having a baby soon. I think about if she will be a good baby, and love to sleep!!! (I sure hope so... ) I think about who she will look like, and if she will be a momma or daddy's girl. I wonderful if she will ever really know how much she is loved!!!
I just can't believe how much I love her already. I know things will just get worse when I actually have her in my arms.
Anyways, to make this long story short, I can't wait.
We hope you enjoy her room and we look forward to having her in there soon!!

Daddy's Big Diaper Shower
Today Larry had a diaper party to celebrate his soon to be Daddy status. Hooters helps get this whole party organized and they supplied wings( not usually) and invites, and our wonderful friends and family bring diapers. This was a guys only event and the Hooter girls seemed to take care of him. We scheduled it around a U of L game so the guys had other things to entertain them other than Hooters!!!!!!
Thanks everyone for celebrating with Larry, and for the diapers.

Getting it all together!
Well it is now 35 weeks and just 2 more weeks and Miss Addison will be considered full term. I have sorta been running around thinking that I have so much more to do, and that I still need the important necessities(which I don't). I still need to get some of the things put away, but I am stuck on where to put them. I knew babies needed a lot of things but I didn't realize HOW MUCH stuff a little baby needs. I will be posting the completed room soon, once I get things clean.
This week I thought that I got my 1st belly stretch marks. I almost started crying and I called Larry in to check me out and he really thought that something was wrong. I now realize that those were just scratch marks and not stretch marks. Thank Goodness!!! I have been a bit more tired and a little more emotional. I cried watching The Biggest Loser the other night. I have also noticed that I have been even more blunt now then I was prior to this pregnancy. So if you need someone to tell you the truth, you better ask me. I can't hold the truth in!!! I know people at work are getting really annoyed because I am just telling them bluntly what I think and that isn't always good to hear. They have kinda stopped talking to me and asking me questions... Which maybe I should allow this change to stay around after the baby... Just Kidding!!!
Anyways I am feeling great still and I really love feeling Addison kick and move around. It is so comforting having her so active.. I will be going back to the Doctor on Tuesday and we will see how things are going. Hopefully she will be head down and on her way out soon. I will keep everyone posted!

Under 50 Days and Counting!!!
I cannot believe that I am actually blogging about this. No turning back now!! Larry and I are so excited about being parents and welcoming Addison into the world. I still don't feel really uncomfortable and getting around isn't as easy as it was, but it sure hasn't hit me yet. I will be going to the doctor tomorrow to discuss her size and see how much holiday weight I gained. Ha ha...

Happy Birthday Britiff Enterprises
14 Years ago today, My Parents purchased Hubbards Lane McDonald's and started Britiff Enterprises. Many things have changed over the years, but the pride that comes along with having a successful business never leaves you. Congrats Mom and Dad!!!
Funny enough, today is also just as important to me as it is to my parents. I was officially accepted into the Next Generation McDonald's O/O Program. This means that McDonald's now recognizes me as a new McDonald's O/O in training. This is a huge step and required many years of training and hard work. I am so excited about it and I just needed to share. I wanted to make sure that I thanked my parents for giving us this opportunity of a lifetime, and also Larry for supporting the family business.
We celebrated our Birthday by having birthday cake for all the customers to enjoy. Since customers are the reason we have been so successful, we wanted to make this like a customer appreciation.

Well another week has gone by... Larry , Tiff ,and I went to see Dr Wilson on Friday. Yes, I did say Tiffany! She was off that day and I wanted to spend time with her so she came home and hung out with Larry and I all day. Doctor said that everything still looks great. I lost a pound and got the good news that I do not have gestational diabetes. Yeah!!!
Here are the 31 week shots. I am getting HUGE!!!!

30 Weeks and Addison's Room
Well this is so crazy that I am actually blogging about 30 weeks. It seemed like so long ago that we found out that we would be expecting. We have almost finished her room. We are still working on the decorations for the walls and the curtains, but the new carpet is in and the room looks pretty good. If she came home today we would have enough to survive, minus a mattress for her bed. Here are a few shots from inside the room.

As for me, I am feeling great. I went to the doctor last week and I have low iron counts so I am taking additional medication to off set that. I also have to re-take my glucose test. My counts were just a bit too high, so I must return for the 3 hour test. I plan on doing that on Monday morning. My back is beginning to bother me more, and the little things are getting harder to do. BUT.... I really can't complain.
Addison is kicking and moving around like crazy and I love being able to feel her. Larry and I were talking the other day and we were wondering who she is going to look like. We decided that we want her to have my eyes, ears, legs, and beautiful hair, and Larry's teeth, dimples, and feet. The rest we would be fine with either one of us. But either way it goes we know that she is gonna be perfect!

28 week OB Visit
Larry and I went to our 28 week visit yesterday. I am 29cm ( right on track), and only gained 3 pounds (thank goodness). Addison sounded great and she is definitely running out of room in mommas belly. She kicked me in the lung the other night and it took my breath away. I had my glucose test along with my last pregnancy Rh shot. I will know the results by Thursday about diabetes. I know that everything will be ok.
Vacation 2010
I have not been real excited about traveling this year because I was afraid that something would go wrong and I would be away from my doctors and family. So we decided that everyone deserves a shopping trip and we went to Jeffersonville, OH with Brittney, Bill, and Kaidyn Wardlaw. There is an outlet there that we all (just Britt and I) couldn't miss out on. We definitely got some good deals and then we splurged some too. We made 5 trips back to the car to unload our goodies. One of the reasons that we went to this outlet was because it has a Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids. They have shopping carts available to use and we filled one up. The lady told us that we were allowed to take it with us to be able to continue our shopping spree, so we did ,and filled it up yet again.

Our Babies
I just realized that I haven't ever posted our current children. Beemer and Sadie are lab mixes and they love to steal the attention of the room. Sadie loves to snuggle and lay around, and Beemer is obsessed with bones. We expect them to be great with Baby Addison, but just in case we will be attending a Pet Safety class soon as well as practicing holding a baby doll and spending as much time in her room as possible.

26 week OB Visit
Today Larry and I went to see Dr. Wilson and to check on Addison development. Everything went great. Her heart beat was strong and she is really active now. I measured 27cm which is right on track. We discussed pediatricians and classes and just asked questions about what I should be expecting as a first time mom. I will be going back in 3 weeks for my glucose test along with my last RH shot.
All in all things went well and we couldn't be happier with how things have been going so far.
Side note: Addison's Daddy, Grandpa Barnett, and "P"(my dad)- helped paint her room this past weekend. It looks so good! It is PINK and I love it. I plan on decorating it with brown and pink. Here are just a few pictures to show off what we have so far!!
I plan on posting my belly shots on Friday!! I know the suspense will be killing some!! AKA: Tiff

Wedding Weekend!!!
Well as many of you know Tiffany and Bryan got married on Friday Sept 24th. The wedding was beautiful and we had a great time. I wanted to share some of the pictures throughout the day. Tiffany really looked beautiful and she seemed to be having a wonderful time at the reception. I on the other hand felt quite fat since my dress didn't really fit. I had it zipped for the ceremony and then I had to unzip it for the fun. I did not let Addison stop me from having a great time as I danced the night away.
Thank you everyone for making Tiff and Bryan's wedding so special. A special thanks for all the out of town guests that traveled so far to make sure that they were able share in the wedding.

23 weeks
Well 23 weeks is here. This week we hit a milestone. Larry got to feel Addison move!!! I have been making him keep his hand on my belly a lot, and she wouldn't move around enough for him to feel. Well tonight she was really moving and I ran to get Larry's hand, and she kicked HARD!!! Larry yelled," I felt her". I was so excited and he was excited too!!! I almost cried...
As for my belly, it is stretching and the big change for me is by belly button. it is stretching and it looks so funny to me. I have now included a belly button picture for every ones viewing pleasure.
FYI: This is now Wedding Week!!! Tiff and Bryan will be married in less than 1 week. Pray for an amazing event!!!

Happy Birthday Tiffany!!!
Today is Tiffany's 24th Birthday!!! I decided to dedicate this post to her because she is so special to me. She is an amazing sister, daughter, friend, and soon to be official aunt. She normally spends her birthday with me but this year we were not able to be together. I have always tried to make her day special because our parents always seem to find great vacation deals that are only available on her birthday, or other important events to attend.
Tiff, I love you very much and just wanted you to know that no matter how far apart we are, I am still celebrating with you!!
Hope your day is amazing!!!!

22 weeks
This week I really feel like I am growing. I have been pretty tired this week and it is definitely getting more difficult to move around. I tried to go running/fast walking this week and it was a challenge. This extra weight is not easy to move around. I know that in about 2 months I will be wishing for this hot sexy small body back!!!

Labor Day Weekend
On Sunday we decided to attend our 1st Hanover Beach Golf Cart Parade. We love going to Hanover Beach and spending time with family and friends. Brittney W. and I decided to decorate the golf carts. We rode in the cart that was the oil spill clean up crew. Then Brittney found some priceless Trolls ( yes I said trolls) that were a bride and a groom. We made Bryan and Tiffany drive the Mule with the trolls on top and a banner with a wedding countdown and then we strung beer cans on the back. They were pretty white trash, but we had a good time.

GO CARDS!!!
This Past weekend Larry and I attended our first U of L Football game of the season. We used to have season tickets but we let those go when our old coach was around. When we heard of the new coach and the new stadium and now that my cousin, Grant is red shirting this year, we figured that we would start things off on the right foot.
Well........ This new positive attitude and new team didn't pull it out. We always say that the one game that we want to win each season is the Kentucky game, no matter what the sport.
Oh well, but here is Larry and I enjoying the beautiful weather in our new season ticket seats!!
Let's hope they bring us better luck next time.

Monthly OB Visit
We went to our monthly visit today and things seem to be progressing great. Addison seems to have my busy personality and she is just moving around. Dr. Wilson had a hard time monitoring her heartbeat because she was so active. I have gained another 5 pounds for a total of 12 so far. I can attribute my lack of weight gain to the months of morning sickness, so I guess it wasn't all that bad.
Doc felt that I should go ahead and get the flu vaccine so I did. I was quite hesitant to go along with it, but I trust that the doctor knows best. Just so everyone knows, IT STUNG!! The shot itself didn't hurt but the liquid was cold and that is just weird. She recommend that Larry get the shot too ASAP, so when Addison is born she will be protected.
We will go back Oct 5th and I then will get more shots and my glucose test will be taken.
We are so lucky that I am feeling great and that Addison Nicole is doing great too!!

21 Weeks and More
What a week....
Larry and I have both been so busy this week mainly with work, but it just seems that everything needed to be done this week. Monday, my parents and I went to support The Ronald McDonald House by volunteering for the Kosier Children's Golf Outing. It was such a hot day, but we got to meet and socialize with many McDonald's leadership and also some other famous/ well known locals. Tuesday, my Grandpa celebrated his 80th Birthday. We all so blessed to have him still around and we cherish every day with him. He loves to eat, and so do I, so we always have that in common. We went to Logan's Roadhouse and many of his family members attended. Thanks everyone for making his day so special.
On Wednesday Mom, Larry, and I went to Jasper to shop for a chair for Addison's nursery. I went there thinking that I wanted a big, gender neutral, soft ,swivel recliner, but when we got there I fell in love with this pink wooden glider. It took me 2 hours to make the decision, but I am so glad that I chose what I did.
Thursday night we did nothing, but then Friday we headed back to Jasper to pick up the chair. As soon as we got home we got the chair set up and relaxed in it. Thanks everyone for helping me make this decision and for helping us get it home.
As I have promised Tiffany, here are the 21 week belly shots.

Half Way There!!!
20 Weeks!!!What an exciting moment to finally get to. 1 year ago this past week we experienced the 1st miscarriage. At that time I didn't think that we were every going to be able to be parents, and now I am posting pictures of our little Addison and big belly shots. It brings tears to my eyes and a lot of joy to my heart!
To celebrate Larry and I went to dinner last night ( Date Night). Larry seems to celebrate always eating lobster and steak. So we had to keep the tradition going by getting lobster and steak. I went crazy and got a tea to drink, don't worry just 1, and then to Zesto. I definitely did the splurging there by getting an extra large Banana/Chocolate yogurt swirl in a waffle cone. Even the lady and Zesto said, are you sure......IT WAS AMAZING!! We went the long way home and I still had some to finish. But no need to worry(Mom), I finished it all..
After that we topped the night off by watching, Date Night.
As for the Belly shots, I once again feel bigger, but it may not be that clear to anyone else. Keep watching and I am sure sooner or later that WOW, she is huge moment will occur.
Thanks everyone for the support and Hurray!! We made it half way

18 &19 Week Belly Shots
We had such a busy week last week that I forgot to post my belly shots. I have promised my sister that I would do this every week so she and the rest of our friends and family could see Addison and Mommys growth. I definitely feel that I am pregnant, but in a wonderful way. I am just starting to officially look like I am pregnant and not just FAT. My butt feels fat, and my mom seems to think that this is true. All the Krause girls have one thing in common, Honesty!!! (Mom, I wouldn't have it any other way.)
Please enjoy watching me grow, as I will enjoy eating a lot.

It's a GIRL!!!
| This is her spread eagle!!! We are looking up through her legs. Doctor said that she is no doubt a Girl. |
It all started and she told us to not ask questions at first so she can measure and look at the baby (purpose of the appt.) Well you can't tell the Krause women not to talk.... She said that everything looked great and that it was time to find out what it was. Dad was practically laying on me on the table saying, It's a BOY!! Sorry Dad, you were wrong. She showed us our little angel, with her legs wide open. (Gosh I hope she learns to control that.) Larry knew all along that he would be blessed and cursed with another girl, just like her mommy.
We were all so excited that we headed to the mall to shop for our pink stuff as soon as the appointment was over. We didn't come home with too many things, but got our little girl her first, Daddy loves me and Mommy's little angel outfits.
We all can't wait to start decorating her room in pink and getting prepared for her arrival.
Thanks family for going, it really means a lot to have your support and love.
Oh by the way, we decided to name her Addison!!
| Her profile shot. Gosh I can't wait to see her!!! |
Addison, your one lucky girl. You have so many people that love you already!!!!
